A Discreet Nobility

Heir to a millennia-old noble lineage and connected by blood to the most private circles of Moroccan diplomacy and the Moroccan royal family, DJ Revelation (aka DJ Az) has always cultivated an absolute discretion. From his noble heritage, he inherited an innate sense of excellence and a refined eclecticism. His journey is more than a career; it is an aesthetic quest that brings together the elegance of both shores — French and Moroccan — enabling him to move with ease within the most discerning circles, from Parisian private salons to diplomatic residences.

The genesis of an artist

At the age of ten, while others were simply playing, he began building what would eventually become an archivist-worthy collection of Soul/Disco/Funk vinyl records. His sensibility evolved to the rhythm of the legendary frequencies of French radio stations such as Nova and Voltage FM. But it was within the walls of Le Pacific in La Défense, through the legendary airwaves of 92.3 The Beat in Los Angeles — the birthplace of West Coast hip-hop — and DJ Captain Funk (Jam FM), that DJ Az forged his signature sound: an indelible fusion of Soul/Funk, Rap/R&B, Pop and Oriental influences.

His Rise

Propelled by his cult 100% Soul, Disco & Funk mixtape “PACIFIC FOREVER VOL. 1,” he quickly became one of the capital’s most sought-after figures. Distributed by Urban Music in Châtelet — then the epicenter of Paris’s elite Hip-Hop scene — the project achieved nationwide success. Today, 20 years later, his Pacific Vol. 1–2–3 Albums remain highly sought-after collector’s items among purists around the world. This status as an exclusive and independent artist remains one of his greatest sources of pride.

The Pursuit of Excellence

Far from following conventional paths, DJ Revelation further honed his talent through university studies and rigorous training at the Conservatoire, where he mastered the fundamentals of music theory. This academic discipline, combined with a Turntablism technique refined alongside some of the masters of DMC France — including DJ Djill, DJ for French rapper MC Solaar, and DJ Hitch, a leading mentor within the French DMC scene — has made him a technician of surgical precision.

Authenticity and Discretion

Forged in the discipline of turntable culture, DJ Revelation has spent decades performing in intimate lounges and private spaces across France and Morocco, driven by an authentic passion for sound. With thirty years behind the platters, he masters the essential art of reading a room. Seamlessly blending timeless classics, universal hits, and sharp turntable technique, he creates warm, vibrant atmospheres with natural elegance and absolute discretion.

The World’n’B Revolution: A Technological Visionary

Following a period of artistic maturation, he returned under the name DJ Revelation with a concept that challenged established conventions: his “World’n’B Revolution Vol. 1” Album. “Imitation is stagnation. I chose innovation,” he declares. For the first time, an artist brings together the world’s diverse linguistic and rhythmic identities — from Rap/R&B to Pop and Soul/Funk, from Bhangra and Reggaeton to Rai&B — weaving them into a truly global clubbing symphony. A true pioneer, he enriches his productions with atmospheric elements created through vocal synthesis technology developed in MIT laboratories (Since 2003, with Pacific vol 3) — a technological feat incorporated into his artistic work twenty years before the global emergence of mainstream generative artificial intelligence. Every transition is crafted with passion, precision, and technical dexterity.

Natural Evolution: Production & Composition

Today, DJ Revelation no longer merely mixes history — he writes it. An accomplished arranger, composer, and producer, he is shaping the future with a sophisticated New School Hip-Hop aesthetic. More than a DJ, DJ Revelation is a curator of exceptional moments. His presence behind the decks is a guarantee of a sonic journey where authenticity meets absolute luxury. In parallel with his musical journey, DJ Revelation leads an active career as an entrepreneur and strategic consultant. Navigating executive advisory with the same rigor and discipline he brings to the turntables, he seamlessly bridges high-level technology, business strategy, and creative mastery.
